THE SWIFTLET LAYING EGGS SEASON.

Swiftlets are very busy during March & April because they will start laying and incubating their eggs. The incubation period period is around +-21days . It takes about 45 days for a baby swiftlet to develop into an adult swiftlet. We are prohibited from extracting nests during this period.

However, to get the best results, work should be done during this period. It is advisable to spray duck egg white bird's nest aroma about one metre below the timber plank. For further improvements, one can also spray the aroma on the internal surroundings of the swiftlet's house around twice a month. This can make the younger swiftlets recognise and adapt to the swiftlet's house.

After the swiftlets mature into adults, they might stay near their parent's place or elsewhere inside the swiftlet's house. However, they would not be located right next to their parent's nest.

Of course, the swiftlets' audio both indoors & outdoors are very important too It is important to keep playing the audio sounds. If not, the young birds may follow other birds and fly away.
