SWIFTLET CIRCUIT SYSTEM WITH AMPLIFIER AND TIMER

AMPLIFIER

The following is a circuit system with a timer which allows for the control over the on / off timings for the Amplifier System. Using a timer means the house need not rely on manpower or physical control over the electrical appliances. A good timer system will also help to preserve the life of the electrical systems by preventing overheating. Electricity can also be saved.

The Amplifier is responsible for the swiftlet's sounds which make the house a conducive environment for swiftlets to stay in.

In the Control Room for the swiftlet's house, I would reccommend that 3 amplifiers and 1 timer to be installed. These amplifiers will be responsible for different timings.

2 amplifiers will be used during the day timings of 7a.m. to 8.p.m. 1 timer is used for the external sound while the 2nd is responsible for the internal sounds. The 3rd amplifier will be activated for the night timings from 8.pm. to 7a.m. The sounds during the night will only be used internally.

The system being introduced above is suitable for a 2-storey swiftlet house.

DIY SOFT NIGHT-LIGHT FOR SWIFTLET HOUSE

This is an example of a method to create a night-light.

We can also utilise an energy-saving night-light outside of the entrance hole. This night light is energy efficient and can contribute to the overall effectiveness of the birdhouse. The night lights' main purpose is to act as a deterrent for the natural predators of the swiftlets, the owl, and the eagle. Other species of the birds can also be prevented from entering and affecting the habitat for the swiftlets. Swiftlets are generally shy birds and will be severely affected if there are uninvited guests in their birdhouse.

It is important to remember to use energy-efficient day-light tubes, because these bulbs are generally brighter, care should also be taken to remove the PVC cover of the light bulb.

The timing for turning the lights on and off can be set at 7:45 pm for turning on and at 7.00am for turning off. Light sensors may also be used if the owner wishes, to control the turning on and off of the lights.

DIY NATURAL SWIFTLET HOUSE AROMA

These droppings are from the swiftlets. It is a very important part of the swiftlet's house. It can let your normal swiftlet house transform into a real swiftlets house which the swiftlets will love. The droppings itself is not enough to make the aroma work.

Here are my tips on how to DIY your swiftlet's dropping Aroma. The aroma is of utmost importance to a swiftlet's house.

Firstly, wipe the droppings slowly, then we apply a layer of ammonia powder, then cover it up with the droppings, this process should be repeated a few times. Before we leave, we can just pour some water around the space to provide for a humid surrounding.

The more droppings there are in this building, the more the swiftlets love to stay in the house. Frequently asked questions may be asked about why the swiftlet's houses are so dry. Yes, at most times, the house should be kept dry and the humidity should be controlled at about +-28 to 32.

Lastly, the droppings should be placed at zones of the house where there are no birds.

BABY SWIFTLET EMERGES

After 21 days of incubation, the baby swiftlet is finally out. But, we still have to wait for another 45 days for the baby swiftlets to mature into adults. This journey is very sacred, and we have to obey the cycle of natural rule.

With the weather constantly changing and the lack of rain water supply for a few months, the swiftlets still have to continue their life cycle. With no fear of hardships and under the scorching sun, the swiftlets fly around for up to 12 hours to look for food. Upon returning to the nests, they still have to build their nests and incubate their offspring. It is a tough and sacred journey.

We have to cherish these precious nests from the swiftlets as valuable natural resources. The supply of bird's nests is slowly decreasing in the world, coupled with the influx of foreign buyers who have come from afar to purchase our nests, the price of bird's nests is rising rapidly. However, these nests are still natural resources, they are an important part of our nature system and they deserve to be protected.

THE SWIFTLET LAYING EGGS SEASON.

Swiftlets are very busy during March & April because they will start laying and incubating their eggs. The incubation period period is around +-21days . It takes about 45 days for a baby swiftlet to develop into an adult swiftlet. We are prohibited from extracting nests during this period.

However, to get the best results, work should be done during this period. It is advisable to spray duck egg white bird's nest aroma about one metre below the timber plank. For further improvements, one can also spray the aroma on the internal surroundings of the swiftlet's house around twice a month. This can make the younger swiftlets recognise and adapt to the swiftlet's house.

After the swiftlets mature into adults, they might stay near their parent's place or elsewhere inside the swiftlet's house. However, they would not be located right next to their parent's nest.

Of course, the swiftlets' audio both indoors & outdoors are very important too It is important to keep playing the audio sounds. If not, the young birds may follow other birds and fly away.

The above post is just my advice and opinions.
