I just want to note that my mom would cook bird nest with Korean Ginseng. This is to balance the yin-yang, as bird nest will be too cool to our body and Gingseng will bring it up. Same as we eat crab meat with ginger and soy sauce as crab meat is also too cool and ginger will bring it up. Therefore if you want to eat bird nest the way you wanted as above just for pleasure, it's ok. I just want to share what I learnt from my mom.
