COOLING AND HUMIDIFIER SYSTEM

These pictures are examples of some cooling and humidifing systems that may be used in the Birdhouse. The advantages of using these systems will be to maintain the humidity level and temperature in the birdhouse to make it conducive for the birds.
It is important to maintain these machines to ensure their working conditions are kept at an optimal level to prevent them from breaking down.
This is an example of water container for the cooling fan. It is an economical option. There will also be no noise pollution involved with this decice.

The fan speed can be adjusted, like a regular commercial fan, thus making it easy to use. Installation is also hassle free.

When using these devices, it is important to adjust the settings for the timer and humidity controls. Care should also be taken to ensure the water containers are kept shut to prevent mosquitoes from breeding.

FRUIT FLY LURE & TRAPS 诱果蝇

Fruit fly lures used on itself are usually effective enough. To increase it's effectiveness, one may consider the use of fruit peels like pineapple peels. These peels should be placed in strategic locations in the bird house to attract the flies.

The flies will act as food for the swiftlets and will make the bird house a conducive environment for the swiftlets.

The use of natural fruit peels is recommended because it poses no pollution to the environment. There will also be no smells which will affect the overall attractiveness of the bird house to swiftlets.

SWIFTLET HOUSE COOLING SYSTEM

I would like to introduce this method of humidifing, a bird house with a 48inch by 10 inch plastic mini pool, to all swiftlet lovers.

This device is easy to set up, cheap and maintainance free. The water can be replenished monthly to prevent it from drying out. With the installation of the pool, it is important to ensure that the water is kept in motion. This is to prevent stagnation of the water which may lead to the breeding of mosquito larvae. Installing a commercial fish tank pump in the pool will solve this problem. An alternative way to do this would be to rear a few fishes in the pool. These fishes may be low maintenance. The beauty of the fountain will also be enhanced.

With this method, costs of humidifing the bird house can be kept low. This device is useful because it can optimise the humidity level in the swiftlet house, making it a conducive environment for the swiftlets.

Swiftlet's Aromatic Fusion 燕屋香精油

Swiftlet's Aromatic Fusion
This is an innovation and product of Indonesia, manufactured by Mr Hendri Mulia.
Swiftlet's Aromatic Fusion is used to lure swiftlets to come into the area, stay and build nests in bird's house. It may also be used in roving rooms and nesting rooms of the bird's house.

It is important to ensure that the container is kept out of the reach of children. It should also not be exposed to high temperatures beyond 50 degrees and direct sunlights. Care should also be taken to ensure the container will not be opunctured or damaged, even after it is empty and ready to be disposed of. It is only recommended for use in the swiftlet house. It may not be suitable for residential use.

Currently, this product is only manufactured and found in Indonesia. I hope that in the near future, we will be able to find locally manufactured diffusers in our country.

Automatic Spray
Several bird houses in Indonesia and Malaysia are currently using this device. I am recommending this device to you because of this reason. It allows for different timing schedules to be programmed into its system. It can be programmed to release the swiftlet aroma every 8, 15 or 25 minutes.
However, there is a drawback, there is no automatic shut down system for the diffuser, and it will continue working into the night.

This is a recommended purchase as it is a very good addition to any swiftlet house, however, like most good things in life, the device is quite costly to acquire.

THE AC- DC BACK -UP

This AC back-up unit consists of an automatic battery changer, a power inverter and change-over switch. In the event of a power disruption, the AC back-up unit, with the help of the battery keeps the player run for another 8 hrs. When the power supply is restored, the AC back-up unit returns to its operation.

THE REJECTED MIXED NEST.

These nests are the remnants of bird's nests after processing. The nests we see and buy commercially are the products of processed bird's nests. The remaining pieces can then be put together to create these clumps of bird's nests.

After the process on being cleansed in water, feathers and dirt may still be trapped in these nests, therefore they may not be as pricey as the cleansed bird's nests. I would not recommend for these pieces to be processed for consumption. However, they can still be used for the creation of the swiftlet house scent. The effects of the scent will still be as effective as with the original bird's nests.
